Secondo voi, ragazzi, che cosa farà Turner nelle prossime ore riguardo al suo futuro come head coach dei cowboys?

Che cosa vi dicono le vostre sensazioni?
Vorrei sentire il vostro parere.

Comincio io: io credo che accetterà il posto a dallas.
Speriamo di no... mio dio!!!

E' che ne hanno un ottimo ricordo.

Per me la differenza tra il Turner OC e Turner HC è lampante...

...e lasciatelo in california che sta tanto bene con Smith, Gore & Nolan, cribbio.
(io ASSOLUTAMENTE non stravedo per lui MANCO come Offensive coordinator ma, come già detto altrove, il 3° cambio in 3 anni per Smith sarebbe un disastro... e poi bisogna concentrarsi sul personale difensivo e Nolan non ha bisogno ANCHE di questa gatta da pelare che quelle che ha bastano ed avanzano... )

anche lui dovrebbe averlo capito che come hc non vale più di tanto... a Oakland come a Washington, Dallas o al Palermo che sia

a me interessa vedere una difesa tra le prime 10 l'anno prox. e non dover pregare ogni volta come per la schifezza di quest'anno che senza BY andava a picco!!

Smith in qunato giocatore al 3 anno e prima scelta assoluta dovrebbe essere in grado di adattarsi a chiunque e molto velocemente. non è un bambino ritardato che se cambia l'insegnante di sostegno è un guaio!!

che inizi a prendersi sul serio, e senza remore, le sue colpe e responsabilità e che cazzo!!

Solo che sarà difficile costruire una difesa tra le prime 10 in un anno. Non abbiamo neanche il defensive coordinator! Mah... vedremo!

Interessante il fatto che oggi ho letto che Maiocco ha riportato come Turner abbia detto, in merito al posto da head coach a dallas e sulla sua futura intervista: "I need to talk to Mike (Nolan) and I need to talk to Jerry (Jones)".

Il che, secondo me, sta a significare che (e spero di sbagliarmi) voglia mettere in chiaro le cose con Jones per sapere se avrà autonomia o sarà solo un mentore a Garrett e dovrà ubbidire a Jones... e parlare poi con Nolan e spiegargli come sia stato bello per lui un anno a Frisco.

Il fatto è che Turner è uno stupido ad accettare. Questo sarebbe il suo terzo anno sotto un padre padrone, dopo Snyder a Washington e Davis a Oakland.
Ma più di questo è ormai un fatto che, come ha detto anche Jerry Rice, lui non è "coaching material".
E sono i risultati a parlare per tutti.

In quanto ad offensive coordinator e playcaller dell'attacco siamo all'opposto. Nessuno lo può discutere.
E' che lui dovrebbe capirlo più di tutti.
Ma ho paura che il ricordo dei bei tempi a Dallas prenderà il sopravvento... povero Norv!"

Come tifoso di Dallas mi auguro che la scelta cada su qualcun altro. Delle squadre di Turner come HC ricordo solo brutte figure, e se, come gia' detto,ha allenato solo dove ci sono "padri padroni" forse vuole anche dire che non ha il carisma per imporsi autonomamente; purtroppo JJ vuole comandare lui (e magari ha anche ragione, visto che caccia la lira) e per questo vedo tempi bui all'orizzonte.

a me sembra che la situazione sia parecchio ingarbugliata e i bovari vengono anche a rompere le uova nel nostro già scarno paniere
se avessimo una squadra e un gioco solido non temerei la dipartita di norv e la sua sostituzione con Sullivan, ma, va da sé, non è così
Norv mi sembra un ottimo insegnante di football e un ottimo play caller, ma come HC, per di più a Dallas, sotto Jones e TO, con Tony "tutta la pressione del mondo addosso" Romo ha tutte le carte in regola per fare peggio che a Oakland
ma lasciando Jones libero di fare e disfare (prendi Philips o Gibbs no? certo che anche Garrett o Garnett ... ) e tornando a noi Mike decisione Nolan mi lascia stranito: è da ottobre che sa che deve prendere un DC e ha fatto solo due interviste inutili (tra l'altro con la possibilità di cominciare a lavorare già al senior bowl). e mi risulta difficile sperare che in realtà sia già d'accordo con rivera e debba aspettare ...
c'è da aggiungere che cmq la nostra difesa dopo la disfatta di chicago ha invertito la rotta e si è assestata su livelli almeno decenti facendoci vincere qualche partita e selezionando uno scheletro di personale da cui ripartire (BY Douglas Oliver Moore Smith Lawson Harris Spencer Lewis Roman) a cui va aggiunto un Asante Samuel o un Nate Clements e del sostanzioso pass rush
Comunque prioritario sarebbe acquisire un ricevitore da go to guy con due mani sapienti visto che Antonio Bryant non sembra esserlo (ed è anche squalificato due partite sto mona). mi hanno impressionato un paio di giornate dalla fine i diversi qb rating di Smith ricevitore per ricevitore dove Battle era sopra il 100 Gilmore e Bryant arrivavano attorno a 50, EJ molto alto e Davis molto basso. quindi non è che proprio il ragazzo non sappia lanciare ... Però in giro non mi sembra ci sia granché a meno forse di rinunciare a qualche scelta in untrade importante

in definitiva se neanche l'oracolo maiocco non sa che pesci pigliare mi sembra che al momento nessuno ci capisca niente

e forse anche ai Bills che dopo una serie di SB consecutivi arriva lui e non ci arrivano più

"I was excited to get a chance to visit and talk about things that are important to me," said Turner, San Francisco's offensive coordinator. "In this league, it's all about timing and circumstance. ... I've got a lot of confidence in the things I can do. I think there are a lot of people in this league that look at it in that manner."

Turner was the offensive coordinator in Dallas from 1991-93. He called the plays that catapulted the Cowboys to Super Bowl titles his final two seasons. Along the way, he became so close with Aikman that Turner introduced the quarterback when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last summer.

Although Turner went 59-83-1 over nine years as a coach with Washington and Oakland, he's considered the front-runner to replace Bill Parcells because of his long relationship with Jones and the success they had together.

Turner had not been inside team headquarters since he was hired by the Redskins in February 1994. Being back triggered many memories.

"It's just a very, very unique place," he said. "When you're away from it some time you don't realize it. But it certainly hit me at Troy's Hall of Fame induction ceremony - the Cowboys fans, all the people wearing Troy's jersey, just the excitement and energy that's always there with this organization."

Parcells retired Monday after going 34-32 the last four years. He went 0-2 in the playoffs, extending a postseason drought that dates to 1996.

Others being considered to replace him include defensive coordinators Wade Phillips of San Diego and Gary Gibbs of New Orleans, and Jason Garrett, Aikman's longtime backup who already has been hired for an undetermined job - maybe head coach, probably offensive coordinator.

Turner said he'd have no problem having Garrett on his staff. In fact, Turner tried getting Garrett on his staff in Oakland.

"That tells you a little something about how I feel about Jason," Turner said.

Jones also interviewed three of Parcells' assistant, including secondary coach Todd Bowles, who is black, thus fulfilling the league rule requiring a minority candidate.

The 54-year-old Turner has had his greatest success as an offensive coordinator.

His skill was evident again last season, when the 49ers averaged 80 yards per game more than the previous year when he was coaching the Raiders. Turner got Alex Smith to show why he'd been a No. 1 overall pick and he helped turn Frank Gore into the third-leading rusher in the NFL.

Dallas' offense was fine last season, scoring the second-most touchdowns and averaging the fourth-most points and fifth-most yards in the league. It was a collapse by the defense that had more to do with the Cowboys losing four of their last five games, including the final three.

Still, if Turner gets the job, a priority would be continuing the development of Romo, who went from undrafted, unused backup to Pro Bowl pick in only a half-season.

"My exposure to Tony is just from watching games on TV," Turner said. "Certainly he's an exciting player capable of making plays and really that's a big part of what this game is about, what this league is about. There's not a lot of guys that have that natural, great playmaking ability."

There's plenty of other talent on offense: Owens, who led the league in receiving touchdowns; Marion Barber, who led the NFC in rushing touchdowns; Julius Jones, who became the team's first 1,000-yard rusher since Smith; tight end Jason Witten, headed to his third straight Pro Bowl; and receiver Terry Glenn.

Owens, who is due a $3 million roster bonus in June, is as flamboyant as they come. Turner is used to that, having dealt with Irvin and, more recently, with Randy Moss in Oakland.

"I want to coach good players," Turner said. "Being with a new team, there's an evaluation process, and there's a lot of things that go into it. I like the players that are here and T.O. is one of them."
